Shift Your Language by Shifting Your Focus

Updated: Nov 15, 2019

I lean toward the positive.

As often as I possibly can.

But, if you were to ask me what about this world upsets me, I'd easily rattle off...

  • consumerism

  • car dependency

  • advertising that sells youth, looks, and fake shit

  • loud noises

  • mindlessness

  • artificial food, flavors, and people

  • destruction of our planet

  • litter

  • lack of boundaries

The list clearly could be longer and, at the same time, that's all the energy I choose to give it.

It is important to know what ticks you off.

It helps you stay in alignment with your values.

Focusing on it isn't helpful though.

It lowers your vibration and this lower vibration is what you will put forth into this world. According to the law of attraction, this negativity is what you will attract.

Negative vibes.

I want nothing to do with them.

So, I choose to focus on what I want.

In this case, what I want to give my attention to is what I want to see in this world.

  • Intentional living

  • Humility

  • Natural products

  • Quiet zones

  • Inclusivity

  • Litter free natural areas

  • Green schools

  • Mindful relationships

  • Conservation and preservation

  • Choosing courage over comfort

That focus feels good! My vibration is raised! I then put positivity into the world.

This is a mindset shift.

It takes practice.

We are trained to talk about and think of what we don't want.

When I ask a client how she wants to feel the answer is almost always how she does not want to feel.

We need to learn to shift our language by shifting our focus.

It works the other, too - shift our focus by shifting our language.

I can help you with this mindset shift!

With Intention's 3-month coaching program "Unf*ck Your Life" will guide you into more positivity, habitual joy, and a life you love.
